Design Team

We are looking for Guest Design Team members every month.  If you don’t think you can commit to designing every month this is for you.  Guest designers will be expected to submit 3-4 layouts and one project.  They must actively participate on the boards and make 4 blog posts to the Scraptacular blog during their month.  They must also post about the Scraptacular kit on their blog.  For all their hard work they will receive 25% off store merchandise during their month as well as lots of free goodies to create with.  They will also get lots of exposure on our website and blog.  All applicants must right up a brief explanation of why you want to join the team and what you will do to spread the word about the store if you join the team.  Please also include 3 layouts and one project using products that can be purchased at the store.  All submissions can be made via email to beth@itsscraptacular.com.

We are so lucky to have a talented and fun group of ladies for our design team. Please meet:

I am so excited to be on the design team for Scraptacular! I really love this store and Beth has the best
taste in scrappy goodies and a knack for putting the most awesome
kits together. I have a real passion for scrap booking (and all the fun stuff that goes with it), and I know I’m not the only one! I fell in love
with this form of art about 5 years ago, after the birth of my daughter
- so many adorable pics and nowhere to put them. I have since had a
little boy as well, which gives me a lot of room to make all sorts of
layouts and use all sorts of products. I love to try new things and
push myself to do something a little different with each new layout. I
would say my style is a little shabby, a little messy and careless, a
little elegant and pretty, a little fun and whimsical. It’s a little of
everything and it’s hard to define, but it’s all mine! Scrapbooking has become so much more than a hobby and I’ve been having a blast with it. I love having the opportunity to work with such talented ladies!

I live with my husband Joe and our four growing girls in Temple, PA. With
our extremely active schedule I have MANY opportunities to practice my
photography skills and scrapbook the memories. Most of the time my children
are my layout subjects, but I enjoy creating cards for family and friends
also. I enjoy mixing it up and creating a decorated journal or photo album
too.
I’ve been scrapbooking since my high school days, recording my sports
accomplishments and racing victories. My style changed more artist and
involved when I was preparing for the birth of my first daughter. Now I just
have piles and piles of photos and I always seem to be trying to catch up!
The hardest part for me to overcome was that I can not scrapbook every photo
and I do not have to scrapbook in order. This was quite a challenge for me
at one time.
I enjoy scrapbooking at crops with other creative ladies, but mostly I
create after the kids are in bed or on a weekend when daddy is having some
father/daughter quality time.
I enjoy trying new techniques and I like to take a concept or idea from a
layout and change it to make it my own.

Liese

My name is Anneliese, but most of you know me as just plain ole Liese. I live in Reading, PA with the love of my life, whom I’ve been married for almost 10 years.  I have 2 beautiful little girls, ages 3 & 5, who keep me very busy!  I am a SAHM, but do independent contractor work for large call centers, from home, around my husbands extensive travel/work schedule.  My main contract is with Travelocity, which is great since I have been in the travel industry my entire adult life.  I have been scrapbooking for about 5 years now, since my first daughter was born.  I started out doing it every now & again on my dining room table, with construction paper, scissors & Elmer’s glue!  My good friend took me to a crop with her, & let’s just say, she created a monster. Who knew this whole other world of pretty papers, & tape runners, & embellishments existed! Not to mention the crops & shops & contests & challenges!  I have been hooked & been an avid scrapper/paper crafter ever since!  I mostly scrap 12×12 pages, both single & double pages, but have recently been on a big card making kick.  I love flowers, inks, STICKLES!!, & Thickers.  My favorite paper line is Basic Grey.  I don’t think I have a scrappy style, per se, I just scrap what I like, no matter what the style. What I scrap most, of course, is my girls, & just every day life.  Scrapping has become more than just a hobby to me, it is a way to be creative & preserve memories while doing what I love!
Besides scrapbooking, I love to read, watch movies, be outside, crossword puzzles, & day trips with the girls.  I love wildlife!  I love the deer, turtles, ducks, hawks, birds, etc. in our backyard, & could watch them for hours!  We recently got a Wii & that is so much fun to play as a family, or with my husband. I cannot live without my coffee everyday, & Starbucks is a fabulous treat!  Chocolate ranks high on my list too!  But my all time fave thing to do, besides scrapping of course, is spend time with my family.  There is nothing like hearing the laughter of my girls when we are all having fun together, whether it is at the lake, or the zoo, playing outside, or just laying in bed cuddling & giggling!

I am single, currently live in Douglassville, and work as a Math Teacher Leader in the School District of Philly. I have been at the same k-8 school for the past 10 years and love my job! I just recently completed my Master’s for Administration and Supervision and am hoping to pass the test to get my Principal Certification. Besides scrapbooking, I love reading, traveling, going out with friends, Facebook, crossword puzzles, sudoku, and reality TV. I’ve been scrapping for over 5 years, ever since I spent a summer in China, came home, and created my first scrapbook. I scrap mostly 12×12 single-page layouts and LOVE LOVE LOVE embellishments and patterned paper. My favorite paper manufacturers are October Afternoon, Cosmo Cricket, Fancy Pants, and Pink Paislee. My favorite subject is my ADORABLE nephew!

I live in Reading, PA with my husband of over 10 years and our two kids, Macy (7) and Jack (5).  I am a registered nurse, currently working in cardiac stepdown.  I worked in critical care/open heart up until I had Macy, then decided to stay home for 5 1/2 years to raise her and have another one!  I returned back to work per diem in July of 2008 and enjoy going into the hospital to escape from the craziness at home!
One of my co-workers gave me scrapbooking supplies after I got married in 1999 and I haven’t stopped scrapping since then.  I wonder if she knew what an addict she would create!  I find scrapbooking very therapeutic.  It has helped me in stressful times, sad times and, of course, the happy times.  My scrapbooking style is what I like to call “simple with a little pizazz”.  I love to mix it up and use non matching papers and supplies.  I’m a technique junkie and will try anything at least once!  I’m always experimenting, but interestingly enough, I don’t use a lot of it on my pages!
My work has been published in all the major scrapbooking magazines as well as some web based scrapbooking publications.  I have designed for kit clubs, online stores, local stores and manufacturers.  I am very excited to be on the Scraptacular design team and look forward to sharing my work with others!

My name is Lisa Wilkinson. I live in Tamworth, NH.   I am married to the love of my life and have 5 amazing children from ages 1-10. I have been scrapbooking for about 12 years and have been addicted ever since I started. I am an everyday scrapper. I scrap everyday things everyday. I love to keep it simple, yet add my own unique  touches and embellishing to make the pages truly my own. I love layers, buttons  and hand sewing! I love to “mix it up” and use each item to the fullest. I  love to scrapbook to create something lasting,  something that will help me  remember all the memories we have created as a family and all the beauty that is  around me. I create to help inspire others, to use what they have, remember what  they have been given, and write it all down before we all forget.

When I am not creating scrapbook pages and art you can find me cleaning organizing or home schooling. Our family can also be found enjoying all of the nature around us… the mountains, lakes and ocean. We love to play outside!

Amy

Hi there!  I’m Amy Bender and I live in Bethel, CT with my husband, Christian, and our two crazy kiddos, Gavin and Elizabeth, ages 7 and 3.  We also have three neurotic cats who keep life interesting.  Life is never dull around here!  I like it that way.  It keeps me on my toes!
I have been in Arts and Crafts all my life some how or another.  My Mother, my Nanna, and my Nan have all been instrumental in fostering my creativity.  They are my mentors, my guardians, and my angels in life.  These three ladies taught me at a very young age everything they knew about Arts and Crafts.  At a young age I was my mother’s helper for her craft businesses.  I went on to college for Studio Arts and Graphic Design with a concentration in Color Theory and Book Arts.
Later on in life I used these skills to own and operate my own Scrapbook Store in Connecticut.  It felt like a natural transition for me.  I truly loved every moment of owning my store and helping my customers with their creative endeavours.  Watching someone blossom and create something meaningful was so rewarding and made any struggle I face worth it.
Beyond my passion for the Arts, I have an insane infatuation with Cheshire Cats, Lucky Charms cereal, the color Pink!, Birkenstocks, and all things sparkley.  I have quite the collection of each, except for the Lucky Charms!  They are magically delicious!  If there were ever pink, sparkley Birkenstocks with Cheshire Cats on them though…
